Longtime Softball President Retires

In a letter sent out to his colleagues, Porter said nearly five decades with the federation "was enough and it was time for Softball to have new leadership."
Porter served for 22 years as Secretary General, and the last 26 as President. He named Dale McMann as interim President of the federation. Porter will continue to serve on the ISF Board of Directors to assist ISF during the transition.
Until a new president is elected in 2014, Porter will continue in his role as co-President of the World Baseball Softball Confederation with Riccardo Fraccari.
