USA Canoe/Kayak is pleased to announce the return of Nike as the official supplier of apparel and footwear for our National Teams. This new, two year agreement, ensures that USA Canoe Kayak's National Teams will be sporting the Nike "swoosh" through the end of 2016.
"I am very excited that we have been able to sign this agreement with Nike," says Bob Lally, Chairman and Interim CEO of USA Canoe/Kayak. "This apparel agreement and partnership is significant to us as we can now fully outfit our elite athletes as they represent the US on the international stage. In addition, we will also be able to outfit our Paracanoe team as they participate in their first Paralympic Games in 2016." For background, the International Paralympics Organization (IPC) recently announced the inclusion of Paracanoe in the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo games.
Previously, Nike had been USA Canoe/Kayak's official uniform supplier from 2007 to 2012. After two years apart, athletes, coaches and staff alike are looking forward to the return of the Nike "swoosh" to their uniform.
