
(ATR) Kohei Uchimura continued his run of consecutive world all-around titles at the 2014 World Gymnastics Championships in Nanning, China.
Uchimura’s 2014 title brought his streak to five straight all-around titles. No gymnast, male or female, has won more than three championships ever. Uchimura also took gold at the London 2012 Olympics in the all-around competition.
"What I care about is that I can deliver a good performance to win the championship," Uchimura said in USA Today after his win.
"I think that what I am trying to do is consider how I can put my best training results into my competition performances in a perfect manner."
United States gymnast Simone Biles became the first woman since Svetlana Khorkina to win back to back all-around titles.
Competition wraps up on Sunday . The United States leads the medal count with four followed by Japan and China with three and two respectively.
Women's Volleyball Championship Finishes
The 2014 World Women’s Volleyball Championship wraps up this Sunday in Milan, Italy.
Semi-Final play begins on Saturday, as two of Russia, the United States, China, and the Dominican Republic look to join Italy and Brazil in the semis.
