Four-year partnership agreement with China National Sport Group (CNSG) to begin with 2018 season
FINA is pleased to announce that it has signed a groundbreaking four-year partnership agreement with China National Sport Group (CNSG), making them the title sponsor for the 2018 edition of the FINA Diving World Series, a four-leg top-notch circuit kicking-off on March 9 in Beijing, China.
The new partnership between FINA's most influential and highest level annual diving competition outside of the FINA World Championships and the Chinese sponsor aims to enhance the promotion of this competition and the discipline within the Chinese market, China being the sport's most successful nation of the last three decades.
Some of the world's top athletes from different countries gather together and compete against each other at the Diving World Series, not only providing the audience with a splendid visual show, but through their strive for excellence and greatness also perfectly embodying the corporate values of CNSG.
CNSG is a state-owned sports industrial business organisation which business scope covers sports venue construction, sports venue management, sports event organisation, sport lottery services, sports real estate services, sports investment management and business incubation, and after years of development the CNSG has become a valuable brand with a strong market influence in the Chinese sports industry.
At the official press conference held today (March 9) in Beijing, China, in conjunction with the start of the World Series, FINA Executive Director Cornel Marculescu said:
"FINA is very excited to sign with CNSG for FINA's most prestigious annual diving rendezvous and I have no doubt that this partnership will further enhance diving visibility in China - the powerhouse of the discipline for many years now. Given CNSG's experience within the sports industry, it is an ideal and trusted partner for FINA."
CNSG Chairman Zhang Lizeng commented after the partnership's announcement today:
"It is a great honour for CNSG to cooperate with FINA. Definitely, CNSG will gain brand promotion and exposure as title sponsor of the FINA Diving World Series. We hope to further develop diving as a sport and consolidate cooperation with FINA at a higher level in the future. CNSG is looking forward to be recognised by more people and offering services for more sports venues as well as events across the world."

The Fédération Internationale de Natation, founded in 1908, is the governing body for aquatics worldwide. FINA's five discipline Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Synchronised Swimming - are all included in the Olympic programme. High Diving made its first appearance in FINA events at the 2013 FINA World Championships.
