(ATR) Vanessa Mae will have her day in the Court of Arbitration for Spot.
The body said it has received an appeal from the Thai skier against two decisions taken by the International Ski Federation (FIS).
A hearing panel from FIS ruled, on Nov. 6, that Mae manipulated four World Cup slalom races in Slovenia to aid her qualification to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
The panel handed Mae a four-year attending and participatory ban from FIS events, which includes the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
Based on the ban, the FIS Council, on Nov. 18, retroactively cancelled the results of the four races Mae manipulated, revoked Mae’s eligibility to compete in the Sochi Olympics, and submitted its results to the IOC.
Mae is seeking both decisions to be annulled by CAS, and arbitration cases have been opened on each decision according a release from CAS.
