Voting has been underway for World Athletics’ male and female athlete of the year with balloting set to close at the end of the month.
Sprinters Elaine Thompson-Herah of Jamaica and Norwegian Karsten Warholm won the award last year.
Four Americans: Chase Ealey, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Grant Holloway, and Noah Lyles are among the 10 American nominees. The last Americans to win were Dalilah Muhammad (2019) and Ashton Eaton (2015)
