The Olympic Council of Asia wishes to announce that we have encountered the first anti-doping rule violation in this the 17th Asian Games, Incheon 2014, Korea.
This involves an athlete, Mr. BEKNAZAROV, Khurshed of Tajikistan, member of a football team. His urine specimen collected on 14 September 2014 after the competition was found to contain Methylhexaneamine, a prohibited substance in the WADA Prohibited List 2014. This substance is a specified stimulant under category S6b of the list.
After due process according to the rules and procedures of the OCA, it has been determined that the above finding constitutes an anti-doping rules violation and as such the following sanctions has been taken:
The athlete has been disqualified from the competition as well as these Games and as such his accreditation withdrawn.
These findings will now be forwarded to the athlete's national authorities, the International Federation of the sport concerned (Asian & International Football Federations) and the World Anti-Doping Agency for further action on their part as per sanctions concerning eligibility.
