MP & Silva announced today that Daniel Cohen joined the group as Senior Vice President, Americas. He will be based in MP & Silva’s office in New York after serving as SVP of Bloomberg Sports for seven years. MP & Silva is currently the fastest growing media rights group in the sports industry and Cohen’s recruitment in the United States follows the recent international executive management restructure announced in late November 2014.
Daniel Cohen will be responsible for MP & Silva’s business development in the Americas, with particular focus on the US market and also be the relationship focal point to all major North American leagues and sports rights holders.
MP & Silva is an international media rights company that has partnered with different North American leagues such as NBA, MLB’s World Baseball Classic, MLS and ATP tennis, to distribute American sports internationally.
A graduate from the George Washington University, Daniel has spent the last 12 years working in sports business roles spanning technology, analytics, government affairs, finance, marketing, sponsorship, and communications. Previously, he has helped launch Bloomberg LP's first sports technology company focused on data and analytical solutions for leagues, media, teams, and athletes. He has also worked with the Washington Baseball Club Ownership Group and Washington Nationals.
