
(ATR) Cuatro disciplinas debutantes en el programa olimpico de Tokio se podrán disfrutar durante los Primeros Juegos Mundiales de Playa en Doha desde este fin de semana.
Monopatín, katá individual (karate), baloncesto 3x3 y el evento de "bouldering" en la escalada deportiva están incluidos en la lista de las 14 disciplinas del calendario.
Una importante presencia europea tendrán estas competiciones.
Europa es el continente con el mayor número de Comités Olímpicos participantes.
Treinta y cinco de los 97 países que competirán en Doha, del 11 al 16 de octubre, son del llamado Viejo Continente.
La mayor delegación europea está representada por España con 62 atletas, seguida de Rusia con 55 e Italia con 35, según informaron en un comunicado los Comités Olímpicos Europeos.
También participarán representantes de 17 Comités Olímpicos de África, 19 de América, 21 de Asia y cinco de Oceanía.
Se espera que más de 1.200 atletas de los cinco continentes compitan en un total de 14 disciplinas deportivas: 3 × 3 Baloncesto, Kitefoil Racing, Natación en aguas abiertas (5 km), Acuatlón, Karate Kata individual, Lucha , Tenis, Fútbol , Balonmano d, Vóley , - todos en la arena, Bouldering, Patineta, Saltos de esquí y Wakeboard.
La Asamblea General de ACNO se desarrollará al final de estos Juegos del 17 al 18 de octubre.
Las acciones de los I Juegos Mundiales de Playa de ACNO podrán ser vistas por el Canal Olímpico.
