The United States Olympic Committee today announced that Rock-it Cargo has re-signed as the official customs and freight forwarding services vendor of Team USA through the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Ahead of the 2016 Games, Rock-it Cargo loaded and shipped more than 30 tons of cargo to support Team USA’s customs and freightforarding deployment to Rio de Janeiro. The items transported ranged from apparel, food and equipment – including unique items such as: volleyball courts, fencing strips, cardio and weight training equipment.
"From the critical athlete gear to the food that fuels high performance, it is a tall order to ensure the needs of Team USA are met during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, but Rock-it Cargo has done it time and time again," said Alan Ashley, chief of sport performance. "Knowing that the items will arrive safely and on time helps both our athletes and staff succeed when it matters most."
