Olympians Gus Kenworthy, Jamie Anderson, and Maia and Alex Shibutani debuted the looks on NBC’s TODAY Show
Colorado Springs, Colo. – In celebration of the 100-day countdown to the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, the United States Olympic Committee and Polo Ralph Lauren today unveiled Team USA’s Closing Ceremony uniforms for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games during a segment on NBC’s TODAY Show featuring Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy (freestyle skiing), Olympic gold medalist Jamie Anderson (snowboarding), and Olympians Maia and Alex Shibutani (figure skating, ice dance).
The USOC is proud to have Polo Ralph Lauren as an Official Outfitter of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams. The PyeongChang 2018 Games mark the sixth time Polo Ralph Lauren has been an Official Outfitter of Team USA, providing iconic parade uniforms and an inspired apparel collection of commemorative pieces. Complementing the rich tradition of the Olympic Winter Games, Team USA’s look for 2018 reflects Polo’s iconic and authentic all-American style, infused with a modern sensibility.
Polo Ralph Lauren's Team USA 2018 parade uniform is proudly made in America and combines traditional artisanal design references with modern fabrications in a patriotic spirit of red, white, and blue. The look includes a water-repellent down jacket in white; an athletic-inspired double fleece pant in navy with red stripe detailing; and a vintage ski-inspired sweater in a bold red, white and blue block stripe. Completing the look are wool gloves featuring a winter-inspired intarsia pattern; a corresponding intarsia wool ski hat; a bold graphic bandanna featuring the American flag; and brown suede mountaineering boots accented with red laces.
A celebration of Team USA is seen throughout the look in details that include "USA/018" lettering on the leg of the ceremony pant, "Team USA" knitting on the gloves and front brim of the wool hat, and "USA Olympic Team 2018" lettering on the bandanna.
The Polo Ralph Lauren Team USA Collection will be available beginning in December in select Ralph Lauren and Polo Ralph Lauren retail stores and on RalphLauren.com and TeamUSAShop.com.
