The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Bid Committee has today confirmed its delegation that will travel to Aarhus, Denmark this weekend to attend SportAccord Convention 2017, where it will share with international federations its vision and tailor-made offer for each sport in 2024.
Leading the 12-member delegation are Paris 2024 Bid Co-Chairman and three-time Olympic Champion Tony Estanguet and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. French IOC member Guy Drut, will also attend alongside bid CEO Etienne Thobois and French National Olympic Committee (CNOSF) president Denis Masseglia while Paris 2024 Sports Director, Olympic medallist and table tennis world champion Jean Phillippe Gatien will work in close contact with the international federations at the event. International relations director Sophie Lorant completes the Paris 2024 front line team in Denmark.
Paris 2024 Bid Co-Chairman, Tony Estanguet, said:
"We are really excited to be heading to the SportAccord Convention to share our vision for the 2024 Games with International Federations and other members of the Olympic family. This project was built with the input of the international federations and places athletes at the core of our plans. We look forward to sharing our tailor-made project with each federation. And we will also be there to discuss with the international sporting community why Paris 2024 is the right city, with the right vision at the right moment."
