
(ATR) The Gambian Olympic Committee is back in control of its headquarters after a four-month tussle with the government
Local media reported on Wednesday that theGambia National Sports Council has re-opened Olympic House, the headquarters for the Gambia National Olympic Committee. The building was confiscated due to"internal differences and wrangles within the GNOC."
In the statement announcing its decision,the NSC saida series of meetings were held with the stakeholders to reach a "peaceful end to their longstanding disputes."
The group considered the re-opening of Olympic House a "break-through," but said that it will continue to work towarda "final and an amicable end to all internal differences" at the GNOC.
