The most awaited match of the year is just few days away: the champions League final, that will take place on May 28 at Giuseppe Meazza stadium, Milan. The supporter’s tension will be lightened by the extremely emotional Opening ceremony, produced by Filmmaster Events. The company is also in charge of producing Rio 2016 ceremonies. It will create a unique show full of emotions, with the unprecedented participation of the pop star Alicia Keys and the international star Andrea Bocelli, who is going to sing the Champions League hymn. The ceremony will last 9 minutes and will take place on the match field, where the two teams will play after just few seconds.
The final will be broadcast in 220 countries with an expected audience of 180 million people, making it one of the anticipated events of the year.
Two international stars will take the field for the first time. It is a unique format that includes the pop star Alicia Keys and the spectacular voice of Andrea Bocelli, joined by more than 400 voluntary performers. After the match there will be a fireworks show.
The whole field will be covered by a 7,500 square meters pale blue carpet with the UEFA logo. It will be placed by more than 100 porters few seconds before the performers’ arrival, with extremely complex and coordinated movements. This will make the ceremony even more spectacular and impactful.
For the first time ever the ceremony will a huge live show, thanks to the contribution of Alicia Keys, who is going to sing three big successes of her career and will present her latest song with her band and a cast of 20 people and more. The stage on which the star will perform will be assembled during the ceremony. It will be a huge 3D Champions logo with a diameter of more than 13 meters. All the props and the stage design are handcrafted by Italian artisans.
Alicia Keys will be joined by more than 400 voluntary performers from all over Italy, who will perform amazing choreographies in homage to Milan. The choreographies have been created by the famous Wanda Rokicki. The whole field will be covered by a 7,500 square meters pale blue carpet with the UEFA logo. It will be placed by more than 100 porters few seconds before the performers’ arrival, with extremely complex and coordinated movements. This will make the ceremony even more spectacular and impactful, both for the audience in the stadium and for the live broadcast.
A fireworks show will end the performance. It is the first time that such a show is allowed during a Champions League final. Two Uefa Ambassadors, Franco Baresi and Javier Zanetti as delegates of two Milanese sports clubs, will bring the Cup at the center of the field together with Andrea Bocelli.
